Oregon WinterFest raises over $11,000 for Saving Grace
Thanks to a robust turnout at the 2016 OnPoint Community Credit Union Oregon WinterFest, Lay It Out Events raised $11,221 for Saving Grace, Central Oregon’s only comprehensive domestic violence agency.
The three-day annual event saw families and friends from across the state come together to enjoy a wide array of regional arts, music, food, vendors, and outdoor entertainment.
“What better way to give back than by celebrating the things that make Central Oregon such a wonderful place to live,” said Saving Grace Executive Director Janet Huerta. “Thanks to the generous support of our community members and partners, we are able to provide life-saving services to thousands of survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault each year.”
The funds raised are enough to provide nearly three months of shelter, food, clothing, and personal care items for a mother and child; more than a year’s worth of weekly supervised visits or exchanges at Mary’s Place; or fund youth violence prevention programs for more than 800 students.
Saving Grace would like to thank Lay It Out Events and all the sponsors, vendors, and attendees who made WinterFest a success and helped to raise thousands for Saving Grace, as well as the local businesses who participated in this year’s pre-sale ticket discount program.
Saving Grace provides free, confidential, and trauma-informed services to people who have experienced intimate partner violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking and promotes the value of life without violence.
