KTVZ

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — Malaysian authorities have rescued a Norwegian dive instructor and are searching for three other Europeans, including two teenagers, who disappeared while diving off a southern island. Kristine Grodem, a registered instructor, was found safe by a tugboat. The missing divers are a French teenager, a British man and his Dutch son. Officials say the four were diving at an island in southern Johor state, and a search was launched after they did not surface about an hour after the dive. Johor sultan has ordered all diving activities in the area to be suspended pending investigation. Malaysia’s borders reopened to foreigners on April 1 after being closed for more than two years during the COVID-19 pandemic.
