Local Alert Weather, Tue. AM. 2.20.18

KTVZ

Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone…
A cold Arctic blast will continue to invade the Pacific NW today. That cold air will hold our daytime highs down to freezing and a bit below. Moisture carried with that flow will bring snow to the Cascades and a chance of late day snow to Central Oregon. Surface winds will be gentle out of the south.
As breezes turn light out of the east tonight we will see a 70% chance of snow showers accumulate 1-3″ of fresh snow by morning. Lows will be in the teens.
Frigid temperatures and a chance of snow showers will stay with us through Thursday. By Friday temps will start to get back to something a little more normal for this time of year. The next system settles in Friday night and brings a chance of mixed showers through the weekend and into next week.
HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
