State sets hearing on Lake Billy Chinook slow-no wake zone

The Oregon State Marine Board will hold a public hearing to accept testimony on a proposed rule for a slow-no wake zone in the Fly Creek Inlet on Monday, March 5, at 11 am. The meeting will be held at the Jefferson County Annex Commissioners Room, 66 SE D Street, in Madras.

The proposed rule amendment would establish a slow-no wake zone within the Fly Creek Inlet on Lake Billy Chinook, to support safety.

Written comments will be accepted until March 9, 2018 by 5 p.m. and can be submitted via email to osmb.rulemaking@oregon.gov or by U.S. mail to: June LeTarte, Administrative Rules Coordinator, 435 Commercial St. NE, Suite 400, Salem, OR 97301. Comments via telephone will not be accepted.
