Local Alert Weather, Wed. AM, 3.7.18

KTVZ

Good Wednesday Morning, Everyone…
A strong storm system centered off the California coastline will spin a thickening cloud cover in our direction all day today. Winds out of the south will pick up to 5-15 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph. With this southerly flow will come some warmer air that will allow our highs to reach the mid 50’s.
Those thickening clouds will deliver a chance of some scattered showers overnight. With lows dipping close to freezing and a bit below for some, a bit of snow may mix in with those scattered showers. Southerly winds will back off to 5-10 mph.
Thursday will be the most active weather day we see this week. It will be a windy day as rain showers rake across the High Desert. Highs will be in the mid 50’s once again. A bit of this will drag into Friday, but that is the day when this starts to break up. We are looking forward to a very pleasant weekend. Highs will be in the mid 50’s under partly cloudy skies.
A quick reminder: Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 AM Sunday. You will want to turn your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night.
HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
