Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

Thunderstorm activity is widespread across Central Oregon this evening. We’ve had reports of nickle size hail in Jefferson county with heavy downpours and very strong wind gusts. We have the chance for isolated thunderstorms for the rest of the evening, but overnight should see dry conditions.

Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 40s, which is above average for this time of year. We’ll see partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies as this cold front moves through the region. A few isolated nocturnal thunderstorms could happen up towards the north, but it isn’t looking likely. Winds will be breezy tonight out of the northwest around 15 to 20 miles per hour.

Tomorrow morning begins with some sunshine and clouds, but we’ll be dry. A few light passing showers are likely through Jefferson county. By the afternoon we’ll see partly cloudy skies. Highs will be cooler than we have been for the past few days. We’ll top out around average in the mid to upper 60s. Winds will be breezy at times around 15 miles per hour.

Variable cloud cover and cooler air will linger through the end of the week. Thursday and Friday will see highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Heading into the weekend daytime highs will be in the 70s. We’ll see more sunshine than we will for the end of this week.
