Lee Anderson

Anchor
KTVZ News Anchor Lee Anderson has been a staple in Central Oregon for 28 years. He came in Bend on the very last day of 1996, and since then has served the station as Morning News Producer/Anchor, Evening News Anchor, News Director and Promotions Manager.
Lee has seen major changes in the station over the years. When he arrived, there was no weather computer, rather just a magnetic wall where little weather magnets helped forecaster report the conditions. Half inch video tape, just like your home VHS tapes (if you're old enough to remember), recorded the daily lives of Central Oregonians. The studio backdrops were hand painted scenes of the Cascade Mountains.
Lee has certainly seen the changes in the area's population, the technology of broadcasting, and the development of many, many young journalists, but one thing has remained constant: delivering the very best news product to you every day!
Before coming to KTVZ, Lee was the Morning Anchor and Producer at WTWO, the NBC affiliate, in Terre Haute, Indiana. At TV-2 he also was the Weekend Sports Anchor, Reporter, and Weekend News Anchor. He worked at WTWO for 9 years after graduating from Indiana State University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. At ISU Lee was a two-time winner of the prestigious Cork McHargue Broadcasting Scholarship, awarded annually to the best local student broadcaster, and the chapter vice-president of Alpha Epsilon Rho, the national student broadcasting society.
When not on the news set, Lee enjoys traveling, and playing with his Humane Society of Central Oregon rescue dog "Z2". He's also a HUGE Oregon Ducks fan, and football season ticket holder. His office has been taken over by Duck's memorabilia.
"This station went on the air in November of 1977, and I'm proud to say I've been a part of it for nearly two-thirds of that time. We're nearing our 50th anniversary, and I'm looking forward to seeing many more years of quality broadcasting coming out of KTVZ,", said Lee.
