BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Destination Rehab recently received a $243,000 grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust of Vancouver, Washington, for new staff. This grant will allow the Destination Rehab team to expand by hiring an Operations Director.

The Operations Director holds a pivotal role within the Leadership Team at Destination Rehab, overseeing operations, administration, and business performance. This position entails not only managing day-to-day operations but also providing strategic direction to ensure the organization achieves its objectives effectively.

Additionally, the Operations Director will have the responsibility of supervising selected staff members, fostering a cohesive team environment and ensuring that all team members are equipped to contribute to the organization's success.

Destination Rehab transforms the lives of adults with neurologic conditions through outdoor adventures in Central Oregon. Our services, such as personalized physical therapy, outdoor group support programs, and weekly fitness classes, promote health, independence, and community reintegration. Established in 2016, we've evolved into Central Oregon's sole nonprofit outdoor physical therapy practice. Our dedicated team of 5 physical therapists, 2 donor journey coordinators, and additional support staff, along with a devoted board and 55+ volunteers, collaborates to address the vital need for integrated and closely coordinated services for this vulnerable population.

Central Oregon Nonprofit to host Wellness and Adaptive Sport day for adults with disabilities.

June 22, 2024 at the Bend Pavilion.

Central Oregon nonprofit Destination Rehab is hosting a day of exciting wellness, sport and outdoor activities specifically created for people with neurological challenges and disabilities.  Attendees may have conditions such as: Stroke, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy and Parkinson's Disease.

This event will take place in Bend, Oregon on June 22, 2024 at the Bend Pavilion from 9:00am-3:00pm.

This event is FREE for participants and family members. Lunch will be provided.

This year’s event will highlight many community groups, who are donating their time and funds to make the event happen. Neuro-Pilates, Embark Fitness, and AdvenChair will all be offering activities throughout the day.
