NewsChannel 21 at Sunrise Co-Anchor, Reporter

Alicia joined the NewsChannel 21 team as a reporter in October 2010 and in 2012 joined Matt McDonald as co-anchor of NewsChannel 21 at Sunrise.

Alicia is a native Oregonian and grew up in Gresham, just east of Portland. She loves the seasons and is excited to play in the snow instead of the rain.

Broadcast journalism has been Alicia’s dream since she was 7, and she graduated from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communications with a bachelor?s degree in Electronic Media and a minor in Communication Studies.

While at Oregon, Alicia was the executive producer/anchor of DuckU, the campus TV station, and she served as the event coordinator for the National Broadcasting Society. In addition, Alicia interned with KATU?s AM Northwest in Portland and The Travel Channel while studying abroad in London.

In her free time, Alicia enjoys watching sports (go Ducks!), traveling, dancing, eating, laughing, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the great outdoors of Oregon, rain or shine.

Alicia is honored to begin her career at NewsChannel 21 and is happy to call Central Oregon home.
