Sunriver Resort is pleased to announce the success of the second annual Rhythm on the Range Charity Concert Weekend, which raised more than $5,000 for local not-for-profit Wonderland Express during the two-day festivities held on July 6 and 7.

The family-friendly weekend of music was held on the Meadows Golf Course driving range, adjacent to the Sunriver Resort lodge and shadowed by the spectacular Cascade Mountains.

Performances included lively regional bands such as The Hit Machine, and Abbey Road Live!, as well as local a capella group Sockapella. Sponsors such as Widmer, Absolute, Jamison, Avion Tequila and Club Car helped to make the event possible.

“We are very pleased and thankful to the community for the support we have received for this event,” said Sunriver Resort Managing Director Tom O’Shea.
Currently in its 11th year, Wonderland Express is a local not-for-profit that focuses on one annual event which provides Deschutes County families in need a memorable holiday experience.

Selected by the Family Access Network and invited on behalf of Sunriver Resort, families enjoy a special holiday meal, an ice cream sundae bar sponsored by Eberhard’s Dairy, a hay wagon ride, arts and craft activities, professional family portraits, and a visit from Santa. Families leave with presents and stockings for the kids, warm winter items, grocery items to take home, and much more.

This year’s event is being held on December 16, 2012, and community sponsors are always welcome. Please visit http://wonderlandexpress.com/ to learn more.
