Volunteers invited to Kiwanis Park project

Community volunteers are invited to join members of the Pacific Northwest Kiwanis District Convention in planting shrubs and grasses at Kiwanis Park in SE Bend on Thursday, August 23rd.

The planting project is part of the recent renovation of the park and will kick off the Kiwanis convention in Bend. Kiwanis Park is owned and operated by Bend Park & Recreation District.

Volunteers are invited to assist with planting from 7:30 to 11:30 am on the 23rd. For more information and to sign up to help with this project, contact Dave Crowther with Bend Kiwanis Club, at 541-706-6102.

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child at a time and one community at a time.

This Pacific Northwest District Kiwanis Convention will include representation by nearly 600 Kiwanis members from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and the Idaho Panhandle, a section of Northern California, the Province of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
