Power back on for 600 in NE Bend

KTVZ

Blown fuses apparently sparked a fire atop a power pole in northeast Bend Thursday morning, knocking out service to more than 600 customers for about 2 1/2 hours, officials said.

The outage was reported around 6 a.m. on a line served by the Hunters Circle substation, said Pacific Power spokesman Tom Gaunt

The utility estimated 602 customers were without power, and crews completed repairs and restored service to most customers shortly before 8:40 a.m.

However, Gaunt said the outage lasted longer for six customers in the immediate vicinity of the affected power pole.
