Applicants sought for Bend-La Pine School Board

KTVZ

The Bend-La Pine Schools Board of Directors seeks interested candidates to apply for the unexpired, south Bend, Zone 3 volunteer Director position. The deadline for submission is Thursday, January 3 at 4pm.

The successful candidate will complete the Zone 3 term being vacated by Beth Bagley at the end of the year. Bagley is resigning her Director position to take on the role of Deschutes County Circuit Court Judge. Deschutes County voters elected Bagley to the judgeship on November 6. Oregon law prohibits Bagley from holding both positions simultaneously.

Applicants should send a letter of interest and resume to: Superintendent’s Office, Attn: Andrea Wilson, 520 NW Wall St., Room 322, Bend, OR 97701 or andrea.wilson@bend.k12.or.us.

Potential candidates must be residents of Zone 3 and have lived in the zone for at least one year prior to the election. Zone 3 includes precincts 2, 5, 25, 42, and 43. A precinct map can be found at http://bit.ly/Zone3SchoolBoard. Candidates must also be qualified voters and cannot be school district employees when sworn in.
