Bend Parks-Rec seeks volunteer basketball coaches

The Bend Park & Recreation District is seeking adult volunteers to coach girls’ middle school basketball programs.

Held in partnership with Bend-La Pine Schools, the middle school program runs January 9th through early March. Practices and games are held mid-week. Coaches volunteer approximately 4-5 hours per week through the season. Basketball experience is preferred.

Volunteer orientation/training will be held prior to the season. On-going staff support is provided.

Volunteers must enjoy working with youth and be able to create a positive, encouraging recreational environment for all players.
