Gov orders flags to half-staff for shooting victims

Gov. John Kitzhaber ordered all flags at public institutions statewide to be lowered immediately and flown at half-staff until sunset Wednesday as a “mark of respect” for the victims of the Clackamas Town Center shooting.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and their friends during this very difficult time,” said Kitzhaber. “I would also like to thank the first responders and the many citizens who helped protect those at risk.”
