All funds raised will help connect disadvantaged children and family members in our community to essential services.

Rodney Pack, owner of Famous Kettle Korn, got permission from the Bend WalMart to have a tent set up outside to sell his Famous Kettle Korn and cotton candy to help support local kids in need.

Pack said, “It’s nice to give back to the community and this is a way that I can make a difference. I personally know families that have been helped by FAN. It’s a great organization.”

This is the second annual Famous Kettle Korn sale at the Bend WalMart and 100% of the proceeds go to the Family Access Network (FAN) to improve lives by ensuring all children in Deschutes County have access to basic-need services.

FAN began in January 1993 and currently employs 26 advocates in 43 public schools (K-12) and 3 early childhood sites. FAN’s mission is to improve lives by ensuring all children in Deschutes County have access to basic-need services. FAN is unique to Deschutes County, utilizing advocates to efficiently reach and connect disadvantaged children and families with basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, health care and other critical services.
