OSU-Cascades sets open houses on expansion plans

As Oregon State University – Cascades plans for its expansion on Bend’s west side to meet local and state education and economic goals, the community is invited to participate in a series of quarterly open houses to be held throughout the greater Bend area over the next two years.

The meetings will each be offered at midday and in the evening to accommodate varying schedules.

The first of the community open houses will address expansion steps undertaken to date and the campus master planning process.

Community input will be sought on expectations for the new campus, and community opportunities and concerns. Attendees will also have an opportunity to comment on design themes and their relation to community values.

The meeting will take place Dec. 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. It will be repeated on Dec. 13 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Both meetings will take place in Cascades Hall on College Way on the COCC campus.

Meeting materials will be posted on http://www.osucascades.edu/4. Subsequent community open houses will take place in February, May, September and December of 2014.
