OSU-Cascades hires expansion project manager
Oregon State University – Cascades has hired a project manager with nearly two decades of experience in university projects to coordinate development and on-going management of design, sustainability, building systems and landscape standards for the new campus.
Jane Barker recently joined the university and will serve as the liaison between the campus and design consultants, contractors and trades personnel.
Barker’s architectural career has specialized in public architecture with a focus on higher educational, cultural and library projects, most recently as a principal with THA Architecture in Portland, Oregon.
She has more than 16 years of experience in planning, designing and managing academic projects throughout the West Coast including at the University of California, San Diego; UC Santa Cruz; University of Oregon and University of Washington campuses.
Barker brings to OSU-Cascades a commitment to sustainable design that incorporates both environmentally sustainable strategies and an understanding of evolving building practices. She is an active member of the Society of College and University Planners.
In her role at OSU-Cascades, she will report to Kelly Sparks, Associate Vice President for Finance and Strategic Planning.
