Center Foundation offers scholarships

TCF (The Center Foundation) has released applications for its annual college scholarship program that recognizes the achievements of Central Oregon’s top high school juniors.

The $1,500 college scholarships will be available to outstanding high school juniors who excel in academics, school extracurricular activities, leadership, and who are involved community service.

The scholarship program is open to current Central Oregon high school juniors planning to attend an accredited college or university in the fall of 2015. Candidates must have a 3.5 or above GPA, outstanding participation in school extracurricular and/or leadership activities, and a solid record of community involvement. Qualified students are encouraged to apply.

The deadline for completed application materials is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at The Center Foundation, 2200 NE Neff Road, Suite 300, Bend, Oregon. Details and application packets are available at all Central Oregon high school counseling offices, by calling Lauri at The Center Foundation, 541-322-2321, or online at www.centerfoundation.org.

TCF exists to benefit the health, wellness, and education of Central Oregon youth, and provides programs in sports medicine, safety, brain and spinal cord injury prevention, lifelong physical activity, and education. The foundation provides no-cost athletic training in area high schools, free sports physicals, ImPACT Baseline Concussion testing, education and treatment of high school athletes, brain and spinal cord injury prevention program, free bike helmets, and scholarships.
