The training will occur on three consecutive Tuesdays in April (15, 22, and 29) at Lava Lands Visitor Center, Newberry National Volcanic Monument, approximately 10 miles south of Bend.

Following the training, an oral and written exam will be given in order to be for participants to be officially certified. The oral exam will be a 15-minute public program to other class participants. The written exam is approximately 50 questions in an open book format.
