High Desert Chamber Music has been awarded a grant from the Collins Foundation, in the amount of $7,500.

The Collins Foundation is an independent, private foundation that was created in 1947, that exists to improve, enrich, and give greater expression to humanitarian endeavors in the state of Oregon and to assist in improving the quality of life in the state.

“We are fortunate to receive this award and recognition from this notable foundation, and the funds will be used to further increase our capacity to accomplish our mission. We are successfully utilizing and leveraging our recent foundation successes, and every step we take further cements our place in the region’s cultural community,” states Executive Director Isabelle Senger.

High Desert Chamber Music’s mission is to bring world class chamber music and musicians to Central Oregon. Through our concert series and educational outreach programs, we aspire to heighten a level of appreciation, awareness, and understanding of this great genre of classical music.

Now in its sixth season, HDCM has presented a broad range of chamber groups, ranging from string trios to piano quintets. There are two remaining performances in the 2013-14 season. Concerts are held at the Tower Theatre, and tickets and more information is available by phone or online through High Desert Chamber Music.

This project is also made possible in part by grants from the Oregon Community Foundation, James F. & Marion L. Miller Foundation, Autzen Foundation, U.S. Bank Foundation, and the Deschutes Cultural Coalition.

HDCM 2013-2014 title sponsors include KQAK radio and KBNW Radio, the Pine Ridge Inn, North Rim, The Norma Dubois and Julie Moe Team at Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty, the Oxford Hotel, the Tower Theatre Foundation, and Hertz Car Sales of Bend.
