Great Drake Park Rotary Duck Race turns 25
And they’re off!
The 25th Annual Great Drake Park Rotary Duck Race was held Sunday for families to enjoy jumpers, food and live music, all for a good cause.
Since 1989, the Duck Race has raised over $1 million for Central Oregon charities, all supporting children and families in need.
Close to 500 duck s hit the water for the kids’ race, while over 3,000 “swam” in the the adult race, from donations at $5 each.
The Duck Race is an ongoing annual fundraiser organized by the four Bend-area Rotary Clubs. This year’s proceeds will go toward the following charities: the Bethlehem Inn, Healthy Beginnings, Kemple Children’s Clinic, Family Access Network and Mountain Star Family Relief Nursery.
