Another brewery coming to Bend’s Galveston Ave.
Westside Cafe & Bakery in Bend closed its doors for good in December. Since then, many have wondered what will take its place.
On Tuesday, officials from the city of Bend told NewsChannel 21 that Oblivion Brewing Co. applied for a permit.
Remodeling is already under way, but the city of Bend had stopped construction because the owner did not have a permit at the time. The halt to remodeling had nothing to do with structural concerns., officials said.
The permit will be issued on Wednesday. Oblivion has not signed papers with the property owners yet, but if everything goes according to plan, they hope to open their doors by June 1.
