KTVZ

Governor Kate Brown on Thursday ordered all flags at public institutions throughout Oregon be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday to honor former Oregon statesman and public servant David Frohnmayer.

“I am heartbroken at the loss of my wonderful and brilliant friend Dave Frohnmayer,” said Governor Kate Brown. “His deep love of Oregon is reflected in a lifetime of leadership and public service. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lynn and the Frohnmayer family at this difficult time.”

The University of Oregon’s Matthew Knight Arena will host community members, colleagues, friends and family on Saturday for a celebration of life of the former Oregon attorney general and UO president emeritus, who died March 10.
