Bend woman, Motley Crue front man in social-media spat

Bend mom and social media consultant Kristy Sinsara is embroiled in a legal battle with Motley Crue front man Vince Neil.

Sinsara was Neil’s social media consultant. She managed his Facebook account and coached him on how to better connect with his aging audience.

Sinsara said Monday she took on the rock star as a client in September 2013. She said Neil is just one of the high-profile clients she’s had over the years.

Sinsara said Neil was like family, and she even attended his daughter’s wedding.

That all changed Friday, when she learned from a reporter in Las Vegas that Neil was suing her over control of his social media accounts.

“I was his social media manager,” she told NewsChannel 21. “I managed all of his social media accounts. You can’t do that without passwords.”

Sinsara said she gave Neil that information in February, and insists this has nothing to do with social media access.

“This is a battle between myself and Vince Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Hannah,” Sinsara said. She said they’ve been battling over Neil’s social media accounts since October.

“She came out publicly and was making very, very strong allegations against him,” Sinsara said.

NewsChannel 21 also spoke Monday with Neil’s attorney, James Kohl, who said he does not comment on pending litigation. But he did confirm he drafted a settlement agreement and mutual release. Kohl also confirmed it is Neil’s intention to settle the matter without further litigation.

But Sinsara said she’s filing a $1 million defamation counter-suit against Neil to try and recover her reputation. She said her attorney will subpoena the phone records and emails of both Neil and his girlfriend. Sinsara added that she’s confident the emails and text message records will prove she’s done nothing wrong.
