The City of Redmond is in the process of fully renovating the playground at Sam Johnson Park. The improved park will host a 25,000 square foot all-accessible playground.

With the construction of the new playground, the existing play structure will be retired and available for purchase by the public or other entities. The play structure is available at http://www.publicsurplus.com ; you can search by region (Oregon) and then Agency (City of Redmond) or enter the auction number into the search option (Auction #1336266).

The auction closes on April 10, 2015, the opening minimum bid is $0.01 and goes in $0.50 increments. The buyer is responsible for disassembly and removal of the structure.

The play structure was originally installed in 1989 and is in fair condition, pictures and additional details available on the auction website. The city hopes the structure has many future years of providing enjoyment to youth.
