NeighborImpact, volunteers help Redmond veterans

KTVZ

NeighborImpact staff and volunteers will be participating in a day of service as part of a nationwide network that promotes homeownership and supports existing homeowners.

Sponsored by NeighborWorks America, NeighborImpact staff and volunteers will be building raised vegetable beds at House of Hope on Friday . The vegetables grown as a result of this service project will be used to help feed homeless veterans and those in need.

“The NeighborImpact HomeSource team is excited to get out of the office and provide a different service for our community. We are eager to give back to those who have served our country while promoting healthy eating habits,” says Lynne McConnell, Associate Director of HomeSource and Assets.

NeighborImpact, a “21 Cares for Kids” partner, is a locally chartered affiliate of NeighborWorks America. House of Hope is located at 724 SW 14th Street in Redmond.

Supplies for the event are being donated by NeighborImpact, Lowes in Redmond, Best in the West, the Opportunity Foundation, NeighborWorks America, and others.
