Reminder: Don’t mail gas tax ballot after Wednesday

The last day to mail ballots for the Tuesday, March 8 Special Election on the city of Bend’s gas tax proposal is this Wednesday, March 2, Deschutes County Clerk Nancy Blankenship advised Monday.

After that date, to be sure they count, Blankenship advises voters to take ballots to an official drop site:

Deschutes Service Building

1300 NW Wall St

(Box located on Parkway side of building)

Available 7 days a week

Election Day, Tuesday, March 8:open until 8 p.m.

Deschutes County Road Department

61150 SE 27 th St

Available 7 days a week

Election Day, Tuesday, March 8:open until 8 p.m.

Fri & Mon, March 4 & 7, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Election Day, Tuesday, March 8: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Candidates:
March 8, 2016 is the last day for a candidate to file

March 10, 2016 is the last day for candidates to file material for inclusion in county voters’ pamphlet

Measures/Arguments:
March 17, 2016 is the last day for a District to give notice of measure election (deadline passed for County or City)

March 21, 2016 is the last day to file measure arguments for county voters’ pamphlet

The filing fee for an argument is:

Less than 1,000 within the county $100
1,000 to 4,999 within the county $200
5,000 to 9,999 within the county $250
10,000 to 24,999 within the county $350
25,000 and over within the county $400
