The Deschutes County commissioners have appointed Steven Curley and Bill Kuhn to serve on the Deschutes County Fair Board.

The County’s Fair Board oversees the operations of the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center.

Curley, a 30-year resident of Deschutes County, works as the director of the Small Business Development Center at Central Oregon Community College. He serves on several boards including Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) and Opportunity Knocks and is actively involved in the Deschutes County 4-H program.

Kuhn, a 25-year resident of Deschutes County, is the Senior Vice President, Commercial Loan Manager for Bank of the Cascades. He has served on numerous boards and advisory councils, including the City of Bend Urban Growth Boundary, Employment Technical Advisory Committee, the Bend Area Habitat for Humanity Board and the Bend Economic Development Board.

Earlier this year, the Board of County Commissioners voted to expand the Fair Board from five members to seven. Fair Board members are appointed to three-year terms and are not paid for their time.
