Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

The Air Stagnation Advisory we have been under has been extended until Friday at 10 o’clock in the morning. Air quality levels are hovering between good and moderate in some locations even dropping down to unhealthy for sensitive groups at times. Keep this in mind if you are heading outdoors!

Tonight we’ll see areas of patchy freezing fog to the north and the lower elevations. Areas higher up will see partly cloudy skies at times turning mostly clear by the morning. Lows will be in the single digits and teens for those in higher elevations. 20s and 30s are expected if you are under the fog.

Tomorrow will see mostly sunny skies overhead apart from the hazy skies and foggy conditions. Some low clouds could be trapped beneath the inversion as well. Overall, conditions will be very similar to what we saw for today. Highs will top out in the 30s and 40s for those without fog. Upper 20s are expected for most of Jefferson County.

Friday will see winds kick up, so we’ll see air quality levels improve. We might see a few scattered afternoon showers, but chances are pretty slim. This weekend sees more mild temperatures and better air quality.
