Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

We’ve seen a breezy day and will see blustery winds tonight. Expect gusts around 15 miles per hour tonight. Partly cloudy to mostly clear skies overnight will carry us through the morning. Overnight lows will be cooler than they were last night in the mid to upper 20s.

A brief northwesterly flow will deliver the chance for a dusting of snow across the Cascades and highest elevations overnight and into tomorrow morning. Snow levels will fall briefly to 3,400′ in the morning before hiking back up to 6,600′ by the evening. The flow will deliver slightly cooler air to the High Desert for tomorrow.

Tomorrow wakes up to mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Daytime highs will peak in the upper 40s and lower 50s by the afternoon. Winds won’t be as strong tomorrow, but will gust around 10 miles per hour out of the west.

High pressure to the southwest will anchor down offshore. Central Oregon sees some sunshine and above average temperatures as a result. Our average daytime high is 45 degrees in Redmond with overnight lows at 24 degrees.

Heading into the middle of the week the High Desert is looking at mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will be mild to warm in the upper 50s and low to mid 60s.
