Fighter jets zooming over Oregon towns on Independence Day
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Oregon Air National Guard fighter jets will be conducting flyovers at Fourth of July events in various communities Wednesday.
The Oregon Military Department says jets from the 142nd Fighter Wing based in Portland will be roaring over parades in Independence, Manzanita, Rockaway Beach and Warrenton.
Meanwhile, jets from the 173rd Fighter Wing in Klamath Falls will do flyovers in Ashland, Central Point, Creswell, Eagle Point, Klamath Falls, Lake of the Woods and Neskowin.
All passes will be about 1,000 feet above ground level.
