Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM
Happy Thursday evening, everyone!
Smoke is lingering across Central Oregon as a westerly flow brings the smoke from the Terwilliger Fire burning near Cougar Reservoir. Tonight winds will be out of the northwest around 15 miles per hour. Overnight we’re looking at mostly cloudy skies to turn partly cloudy by the morning. Lows will fall into the upper 30s and lower 40s.
Tomorrow will begin with smoky skies and partly cloudy conditions. Skies will turn mostly sunny by lunchtime although smoke will linger. Air quality levels should improve throughout the day. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 70s, which is still a little below average.
We’ll see sunny skies throughout the Labor Day weekend. We’ll see highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s, which is average. Haze will likely stick around Central Oregon for the weekend. Smoke is looking to make a return by Monday.
Overnight lows will continue to be chilly and around average in the low to mid 40s.
