Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

Winds will be breezy tonight gusting around 20 miles per hour. Expect breezy conditions at times tonight as clouds decrease. We have the slight chance for a few light showers to the south as we head into tomorrow, but we’re looking to stay dry.

Overnight lows will fall into the upper 20s and low to mid 30s, so much cooler than we were this morning. We trade the warm temperatures for sunshine and we’ll see mostly sunny skies for most of the day. Highs will be slightly cooler in the low to mid 60s. Winds will be out of the north around 10 miles per hour.

By the second half of the day we’ll see clouds increase from the south as an area of low pressure will kick some clouds our way and pull up moisture. Most of the shower activity should dodge Central Oregon and will stay to the southeast.

Overnight into Thursday we’ll see partly cloudy skies and could be clipped by a few showers as the system to our south breaks down. We’re still looking at mainly dry conditions.

By Friday the next system approaches and this will be a cool, wet one. Showers are expected by midday Friday and will linger into Saturday. Highs will be cool and well below average in the low to mid 50s.

Snow levels will be low enough that Mt. Bachelor will see some snow as snow levels will hover around 6,300′. Central Oregon will just see rain!

Expect the weekend to begin on a wet note, so if you’re headed out for soccer or football games Saturday morning bring the rain boots and rain coat! Chilly temperatures stick around topping out in the mid to upper 50s and lower 60s.
