Schools foundation receives $2K from brewery

The Education Foundation for Bend-La Pine Schools received $2,012 from 10 Barrel Brewing’s (Westside) charity on tap, held the month of September. Proceeds from the event will be used to support innovative STEM, art, music and wellness classroom grants to educators in Bend, La Pine and Sunriver.

Other programs of the Education Foundation include support for needs-based middle and high school students to participate in athletics and scholarships for Latino students and Perseverance Award recipients.

This academic year, the Education Foundation celebrates 30 years of service to the K-12 educational community. The foundation’s programs impact the greater population of 18,375 students and 2,000 educators and staff equitably within the Bend-La Pine Schools.
