PacificSource pays $26 mil for Symantec’s Springfield campus

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) – PacificSource has finalized its purchase of Symantec’s Springfield campus, paying more than $26 million for the tech firm’s large property.

The Register Guard reports the Springfield health insurer announced in August its plan to buy Symantec’s 400,000-square-foot complex, but declined to disclose the sale price.

A deed filed in Lane County last week shows PacificSource paid Symantec $26.25 million to take ownership of one of the county’s largest industrial campuses.

PacificSource plans to consolidate about 500 employees now working at two separate Lane County locations into half of the Symantec property in mid- to late 2019, Chief Operating Officer Erick Doolen said.
