Parking once again very tight at Redmond Airport

KTVZ

For the second time in recent weeks, the parking lot at Redmond Municipal Airport is full-up, or close to it, prompting another reminder from officials to check the website and live webcams before leaving home.

Here’s their announcement:

Limited parking availability at RDM is expected to fluctuate Friday and over the weekend in accordance with the airport’s arriving and departing flight schedule.

Parking lot attendants are monitoring availability and will update the airport’s website periodically.

To help RDM passengers ‘know before they go,’ RDM officials encourage passengers to view the parking lot cameras at https://www.flyrdm.com/?Airport-Parking-Lot-Cams and consider choosing alternative ground transportation options (found at http://www.flyrdm.com/?Ground-Transportation)

“It is important for travelers to understand that occasionally we may reach our parking capacity and we encourage them to seek alternative arrangements such as taxis, shuttles, ride-sharing or asking friends and family for help,” states Zachary Bass, airport director.

The curb at the front of the terminal is for active loading and unloading only. Vehicles are not permitted to wait at the curb. Violations are subject to a $50.00 citation. The approved waiting area is the Cell Phone Waiting area, located across the street from the Airport along SW Salmon Avenue.

The public areas of the terminal at the Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Arriving and departing passengers are welcome to stay in the public areas of the airport to facilitate their travel needs, regardless of the hour.

Boarding lounge amenities include a children’s play area, a free book exchange, gift shop, coffee shop, a family-friendly restaurant and a full-service bar. The restaurant and bar are located upstairs (post security) on the second floor and opens daily at 10 a,m.
