Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

Tonight we’re seeing clouds push in from the northwest as a warm front approaches bringing rain, higher snow levels, and temperatures slightly above average. Mostly cloudy skies will be overhead by 9 p.m., and we’ll see sprinkles and light showers developing around 10 p.m.

Overnight expect the majority of the rain showers to arrive, so tomorrow morning will be off to a wet start. Because of the clouds and rain showers our overnight lows won’t be nearly as cold as they were this morning. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 30s to start the day.

Halloween brings us scattered rain showers throughout the day. Currently, showers will taper off by sunset and going into the overnight hours. However, if you’re heading out for Trick or Treating, then I would bring warm layers and an umbrella incase you encounter a spotty shower. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s, but it will feel cooler with the showers passing through.

Snow levels will rise to 9,400′ by Halloween morning and staying fairly high for the end of the week. This means most of the ski areas will be looking at rain rather than snow, which we need badly!

As we head into Thursday we’ll see partly cloudy skies and daytime highs a little above average. We’ll be in the low to mid 60s. Partly cloudy skies will be overhead behind the passing front.

The next best chance for some light rain showers would be Friday, but the chance is only around 30% right now. Overall, Friday will see mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Saturday looks to be dry, but cloudy behind a cold front. Temperatures will drop back to average in the mid to upper 50s. Sunday is looking at rain showers with highs in the upper 50s.
