Cascades East Transit sets 2nd round of open houses


As part of Cascades East Transit’s 2040 Transit Master Plan, six community open house events will be held throughout Central Oregon in March.

This second round of open houses will to collect input from residents to help prioritize near-term transit expansion projects. Information about CET’s 2040 Transit Master Plan can be found at

Andrea Breault, CET’s Senior Transit Planner, mentioned, “CET received great feedback from the January open houses and we are excited to begin collecting additional community input regarding proposed near-term transit projects on the horizon.”

Michelle Rhoads, CET/COIC Transportation Manager, indicated, “We are looking forward to engaging the community once again during this second round of open houses, which will allow CET to chart a new course for the future of public transportation and mobility management in Central Oregon.”

Central Oregon residents are encouraged to attend the following open houses by dropping in during open hours listed below. Light snacks and activities for children will be provided. To request information and open house materials in an alternative format or in a different language, please contact Rachel Zakem at 541-504-3310 or five days prior to the meeting date.


SISTERS: Tuesday, March 12 (3:30-6:30 pm) at the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Station, 301 South Elm St.

MADRAS: Wednesday, March 13 (3:30-6:30 pm) at the Rodriguez Jefferson Library Annex (134 SE E St.)

WARM SPRINGS: Thursday, March 14 (5:00-7:30 pm) at Warm Springs K-8 Academy (50 Chukar Rd.)

PRINEVILLE: Tuesday, March 19 (3:30-6:30 pm) at Crook County Fire and Rescue Department (500 NE Belknap St.)

REDMOND: Wednesday, March 20 (3:30-6:30 pm) at the Redmond Public Library (827 SW Deschutes Ave.)

BEND: Thursday, March 21 (3:30-7:00 pm) at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Brooks Hall (469 NW Wall St.)
