City of Bend offers downtown parking advice

KTVZ

The city of Bend offered some advice Tuesday on downtown parking as crews work to remove the heavy snowfall.

Here’s the city’s announcement:

We encourage people to park in angled stalls where available downtown along all streets. If the stalls are not plowed out and your vehicle does not fit an unplowed stall, please find another place to park. The roadway gets narrow with long vehicles that aren’t fitting into the normal spots.

There are plenty of spots around downtown today; it’s still fairly quiet.

Parking lots are available, too.

The parking garage on Lava Road between Oregon and Minnesota avenues is available at no charge on Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s a great option when it’s snowing, too, because you won’t have to scrape off your car if it’s covered while you’re parked downtown!

Also, despite the additional challenges, please do not block ADA stalls or sidewalks with parked vehicles.

Diamond Parking personnel are available for questions regarding available parking: (541) 317-2805.
