Procession, Celebration of Life today for JCSO Deputy Dave Blann

A vehicle procession for longtime Jefferson County Senior Deputy Dave Blann was planned Thursday morning from west of Sisters to Bend’s Westside Church, where a Celebration of Life will take place in the afternoon.

The procession will leave a staging area west of Sisters at 10:30 a.m. Community members wishing to view the processiion will have an opportunity as it passes through Sisters at about 11 a.m.

The procession will then travel east on Highway 20 to Tumalo, then take O.B. Riley Road, Johnson Road and Shevlin Park Road, arriving at Westside Church around noon. C eastbound to Tumalo where it will take OB Riley Road, to Johnson Road, to Shevlin Park Road, arriving at Westside Church at noon. The Ceremony of Life for Senior Deputy Blann will begin at 1 p.m.

On the morning of Feb. 15, Blann passed away at his home in Camp Sherman after nearly 22 years of dignified service.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will take place at the Westside Church in Bend, 2051 NW Shevlin Park Road.

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, a “Senior Deputy Dave Blann Memorial Fund” account has been established to benefit the Fallen Badge Foundation and the Camp Sherman Hasty Team. Donations can be dropped off at any Bend, Redmond or Madras branch of Columbia Bank.
