Local Alert Weather, Fri. AM, 9-13-19
Good Friday Morning, Everyone…
A strong westerly flow may get us a little breezy this afternoon, but we are expecting a sunny, warm day across the region today. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to low 80’s and NW winds will pick up to 10 -20 mph with gusts to 25 mph . Those winds will become light and variable this evening, and stay that way through the night. Under partly cloudy skies tonight’s lows will be scattered through the 40’s .
Saturday promises to be an equally fair day. We may see a few clouds, but there will be no showers. Highs will be in the low to mid 80’s and breezes will be light out of the west. A developing low-pressure center in the Gulf of Alaska will make its way southward along the Canadian coastline over the weekend. It will thicken our clouds Sunday and give us a chance of some late day rain showers. It will also bring cooler air. Highs Sunday will be in the mid 70’s . Rain is likely Sunday night as lows stay in the 40’s . Expect to see more rain and cooler temperatures Monday. Highs will only be in the low to mid 60’s . We will get a short break in the showers Monday night, but with that low pressure center becoming fairly stationary over the pacific NW, we can expect these cool temperatures and a chance of showers to stay with us into the middle of next week.
