REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Redmond Fire & Rescue is partnering with the Kiwanis Club of Redmond to host a holiday food drive from Oct. 30 through Dec. 31, 2026. The community initiative aims to provide essential food items to local families in need.

Donations will be collected at Redmond Fire & Rescue's downtown station, located at 341 NW Dogwood Ave. in Redmond, Ore. Requested non-perishable items include canned goods, pasta, rice and boxed meals to support local families through Thanksgiving and the holiday season.

Ryan Herrera serves as fire chief of Redmond Fire & Rescue. He highlighted the department's commitment to local outreach beyond its primary duties.

“Our mission goes beyond emergency response—we're committed to supporting the community in every way we can,” Herrera said. “Partnering with the Kiwanis Club of Redmond allows us to make a real difference for families during the holidays.”

The Kiwanis Club of Redmond has a long-standing tradition of local community service. Organizers noted that residents can assist the initiative by dropping off non-perishable food items at the downtown station or by sharing information about the drive on social media.
