Driver treated after single-vehicle crash in Powell Butte

(First reported by the Prineville Review)

POWELL BUTTE, Ore. (KTVZ) — A single-vehicle crash in Powell Butte sent emergency crews racing across Crook County on the evening of Sunday, February 1, the Prineville Review reports.

According to the Crook County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. along Southwest Houston Lake Road near Lester Wick Road. Sgt. Justin Silence told the Review the incident involved one vehicle and one driver.

“The driver was treated at the scene and released,” Silence said. No additional injuries were reported.

Witnesses told the Prineville Review they saw multiple emergency vehicles heading toward the area around the time of the crash. Some social media users reported that a truck had overturned, though deputies have not confirmed those details.

The Review reports the roadway remains open and that traffic was heavier than usual Sunday evening. The Crook County Sheriff’s Office said the crash remains under investigation, with a full report expected to be released Monday.
