Wildfire Burning Southwest of Sisters, 0143 Trout Creek Fire is 50% Contained

UPDATE: As of 10:00 am on May 4, the 0143 Trout Creek Firer is 50% contained.

According to officials, there was no growth and minimal fire behavior from Sunday night into Monday morning.

Firefighters are actively constructing a line around the perimeter.

The fire is an estimated 40+ acres in size and is burning southwest of Sisters in the Deschutes National Forest.


SISTERS, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The NIFC has reported a new wildfire burning in Deschutes County, southwest of Sisters. At this time, according to WATCH DUTY, the fire has been named the 0143 Fire. Currently, 2 acres have been impacted.
