New Information: Motorcyclist Killed Following Crash on US-20 in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A Scio man died Sunday following a two-vehicle crash involving his motorcycle on Highway 20 in Jefferson County.

Kevin Allen Cloud, 65, died shortly after being transported to an area hospital.

The preliminary investigation by Oregon State Police indicated that Cloud, attempted to pass westbound traffic. He crossed a double yellow line into the eastbound lane near milepost 81.5 and collided head-on with an eastbound gray Kia Sedona.

The Kia was operated by Angela Kristine MacFarland, 49, of Bend. Cloud was transported by Life Flight to an area hospital with serious injuries but died shortly after arrival.

MacFarland reported minor injuries following the collision. A 14-year-old female passenger in the Kia was not injured in the crash.

The highway was impacted for approximately 3 hours while the on-scene investigation took place. Oregon State Police was assisted by the Black Butte Police Department, Black Butte Ranch Rural Fire Protection District and Sisters Fire Department.
