Columbia River Circuit Finals coming to Redmond, fundraiser planned for Silver Rail Elementary recovery

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Columbia River Circuit Finals are coming to the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond November 5-7, bringing three nights of rodeo action and community events.

Organizers say each night will include a tribute honoring the victims and families affected by the October 15 shooting at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend.

A 50/50 raffle will also be held each night, with proceeds benefiting the Silver Rail Recovery Fund.

The event will feature special themes and activities each night:

Thursday, November 5 – Blue Collar Family Night

  • Buy one, get one free ticket offer.
  • Children 12 and younger get in free with the purchase of a ticket.
  • Free dummy roping lessons for kids.

Friday, November 6 – Heroes Night

  • An afterparty with a DJ will follow the rodeo in the North Sisters building.

Saturday, November 7 – Championship Night

  • An afterparty featuring live music from Dry Canyon Stampede.

Organizers are also inviting local news broadcasters to participate in live coverage from the rodeo or conduct prerecorded interviews with contestants ahead of each performance.

The Columbia River Circuit Finals offer an opportunity to enjoy rodeo competition while supporting the Central Oregon community and families continuing to recover from the Silver Rail Elementary tragedy.
