Motorcyclist rescued after crash near Cache Mountain northwest of Sisters

DESCHUTES COUNTY, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A 66-year-old man from Nampa, Idaho, was rescued after sustaining leg and shoulder injuries in a slow-speed motorcycle fall near Cache Mountain yesterday at 7:14 p.m. The incident, which happened about 10 miles northwest of Sisters, prompted a Garmin emergency activation to Deschutes County 9-1-1.

Deschutes County 9-1-1 received the emergency alert, initiating a rapid response from Deschutes County Search and Rescue volunteers. The accident took place in the far northwest corner of Deschutes County.

Deschutes County Search and Rescue volunteers utilized all-terrain vehicles to reach the injured rider. They provided medical care at the scene of the fall. Following the initial treatment, the man was transferred to a waiting Sisters–Camp Sherman Fire District ambulance.

The ambulance transported the injured man to St. Charles Bend for further evaluation and treatment. The Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude for the prompt efforts of the Search and Rescue volunteers and the support received from partner agencies, which ensured a safe conclusion to the incident.
