WARM SPRINGS, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Warm Springs community is currently dealing with the impacts of the Bench Fire, which has destroyed multiple homes as well as forced many residents to evacuate.

Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Seeks Community Support for Bench Fire Response

Warm Springs, Oregon — The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs announces a donation page for community members, organizations, and partners who wish to support response efforts addressing impacts on the Reservation related to the Bench Fire. The government is welcoming donations and volunteer assistance coordinated through designated Tribal contacts. 

On Saturday, July 25, the Warm Springs Tribal Council declared a State of Emergency for the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. Most of the reservation is still under Level 3 Evacuation notice as a coordinated firefighting team battles the fire, which is still zero percent contained. Tribal representatives say that once the fire is contained, there will be a long road to recovery on the reservation to rebuild homes and structures, take care of its members, and restore the land. 

The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs sincerely appreciates the generosity and support of community members, neighboring tribes, organizations, and partners during this challenging time. Every contribution—whether through donations or volunteer service—helps strengthen the response and recovery efforts for those affected by the fires.
