Baby formula, diapers needed as Warm Springs pantry faces shortage

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Redmond Community Presbyterian Church is organizing a baby supply drive to assist Warm Springs Presbyterian Church, whose Food and Supply Pantry is critically low on essential baby items.

The drive, collecting baby formula, diapers and wipes, is underway now through Wednesday, Aug. 5.

The collection effort was initiated after Warm Springs Presbyterian Church shared a pressing need for baby essentials. The drive offers practical help for families in the Warm Springs community.

Redmond Community Presbyterian Church is located at 529 NW 19th St. in Redmond, and can be reached at 541-548-3367.

Donations can be dropped off Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Friday, July 31, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Collections are also accepted Sunday mornings before and after the 10 a.m. church service.

The most urgent needs include baby formula with the latest possible “use-by” date, and all sizes of diapers and baby wipes.

Monetary gifts are also accepted and can be made online at www.cascadespresbytery.org, using the DONATE button, with funds going to Warm Springs.

This emergency supply request is coordinated specifically with leaders from Warm Springs Presbyterian Church. Other community groups, such as Central Oregon Peacekeepers, are also organizing local supply drives and congregations are encouraged to support those efforts if they are more convenient.

The baby supply drive will conclude on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
